upping boost without a intercooler

im not saying id ever do this but out if interest has anyone ever upped the boost without a intercooler on a hdi

Probably, not sure if the turbo will be too happy about it though

I can think of a couple, both of which died within weeks. Even you did it would be pointless as the turbo is out of it's efficiency range and heating the intake charge enough that you'll barely see any difference.

You can do, and you can pick up a couple of hp on the coldest of cold days... the rest of the time, you'll actually probably end up losing power!
