Too much heat usually isnt it when the cups drop? Whats the EGTs been like?

ive killed one head with one droped pre cup and another fully recon droped two Sad

obviously not much help i never really looked to what was happening.

but maybe leaky injectors causing excessive heat?

That is different from dropping a cup, dropping the cups just caused by general excessive heat in the entire cup / heat cycles over time loosening them up.

That motor has literally melted the exit path, looks to have been hosing fuel in for thousands of miles until it literally went through the HG into the coolant and then that was it.

Wondered who would suggest if it was the 206. Tongue We all know that is a quality lash up though...

Anyways no, its off the estate that I'm about to finally get rid of (been used as a skip for metal recently) thought I would pull the head for the hell of it. It never ran, it had naff all compression (we know why now)

That's what I found. Precup number 3 fell out and the around number 3 & 4 the head has 'blown out'

Was on a MLS gasket though Tongue

It has done moon miles so as the cornishmen suggest, must be absolutely buggered injectors.

People don't.... There was petrol literally running out of the fuel filter on my sisters car for 2 or 3 weeks... After all that time she said there was a bit of a petrol smell... Dread to think what mpg it was doing in that time! lol
