Right, if I weld the flap shut on a t2 for the wastegate arm and left the wastegate arm off the turbo and plumbed in a mbc could I control the boost with the mbc or am I missing something

Mbc by itself will control boost. If you weld anything you take away ability to adjust it.
On a break from 306oc for personal reasons. If anyone needs or wants me most of you have my number and or facebook messenger
Thanks for the good times guys n gals. I might be back. Who knows.

Yess Danny you are missing something. When the MBC opens at a set pressure it opens the boost can which opens the wastegate, If this is welded closed then it wont open rendering the MBC useless...

Had a think about it this morning when I'd sobered up and realised that wouldn't work

Welded shut and control with fuel seems to be the way I'm going then

If the wastegate is just disconnected, what will a T2 push up to ?
On a 9mm with max fuel screw adjust just lower than 2K revving and LDA rotate.
