D seal perhaps...?
Give it a good ol' clean, little bit of petrol on a rag cleans it up well before you apply the new gasket.

I often get it sandblasted and a coat of paint, works well, just some heatproof stuff does the job well

it had a new d seal a couple of months ago. so no need to change right? might get some silcone sealant around the seat to stop a boost leaks.

You can fix anything if you use enough of it, if it doesn't fix it then clearly you haven't used enough silicone on there lol

Matty, you might have a warped cam cover. Not a massive problem obviously, just means a normal gasket wont seal and silocone will because its flexible/not a set shape Smile

Do NOT overtighten the 3 bolts on top hoping it'll seal.

They go into the cam caps which are EASY EASY EASY to round out, which MUST NOT be replaced by others off another head, they're line bored, so if you put on another one, you're likely to f*ck the cams/caps..

Well - you can put others on, but I'll lol when your engine is full of swarf.

Silicone sealant = boss.
End thread Tongue

Really wouldn't be bothered if I had a warped cam cover, if it's sealed. It's sealed. No probs. Sorted. Tongue lawl

Heh overtightening is normally what makes them leak / serious overtighting rounds threads / snaps the lugs off the cam bearing caps. You need to make sure there all tight the same and not all that tight or else it just bends / leaks...If I got problems I used to just smear some hymolar around the gasket, but should be fine with new gasket / right bolts...
