Right, I've got custom forged rods coming that are based on the hdi rod - so are good for either xud or hdi engines.
Who else is interested in a set?

They should come to £420 all in posted to your door.

Due for delivery within a couple of weeks.

If there is enough interest there might be a small saving on the price, but won't be mega, maybe £20.

Names on a list please, and asap please as its all suddenly moving very fast

£420 could buy you a fair few sets of replacement standard rods.

£420 sounds pretty bloody cheap though for forged.

ARP studs and forged rods, what's the next bottleneck?

who's making them? if they are a reputable company that also have a stock XU rod design I may be interested if that makes the numbers up, smaller gudgeon pin though so wouldn't be the same batch.

These have finally arrived Just need to pop them in my engine now

I have 2 spare sets available, and the final price is £420 per set posted

Will fit xud or hdi - design is based on the hdi rod and take hdi sputter bearings

4340 forged steel
Multi-stage heat treated and stress durability processed
Made from 2 separate pieces for stronger strength
Weight matched to + - 1gram per end
Forging is X-rayed, sonic tested and magnafluxed
Shotpeened

Come complete with ARP con rod bolts

They are 125g lighter than a standard hdi rod (something like 600g vs 725g)

Fitted a set to my engine now, which unsurprisingly had bent at least one rod.

would be a work of art, no doubt. Black marker pen should do the job

Local engine builders / recon place - shells were about £90 I think, poss similar for rings - but haven't got a breakdown of cost, as bought a load of bits at same time
