your turbo comes on boost sooner and runs out of puff sooner too, k14 or T2 will kick in slightly later but handle more boost and carry on further up the rev range . .Smile

You can also find TD04's T25's GT20's and others for way more boost. Lots of people have put bigger turbo's on and done the adaptation needed already. I bought a T25 hybrid bolt on and it boosts like a mofo.

K14 is a standard 306 turbo, will be hardly any different to yours performance wise.

Not if its bolt on. Otherwise you'll have to make custom adapter plate, down pipes and oil lines. Search this site, look through the project threads (apart from puggy306's!) for all information you could possibly need.

If your on a power hunt getting a Bosch on before anything is probably advisable.

All four of the 306 turbos can see 130 bhp on a bosch usually.

T2 and K14 can see nearer 150 if done properly.

K03 and GT15's use the same manifold and oil lines and T2's and K14's share a different mani and oil line the the the other 2 smaller turbo's.
So no, not a straight turbo swap. But I wouldnt bother swapping as there's not much difference in each one.

If you want to keep one of the standard turbos you want to do bosch, fmic, free flowing exhaust and elbow.

On a K14/T2 can see 150bhp fairly easily and not have much lag.

FMIC - Front Mounted Intercooler

Free Flowing Exhaust - Basically a Straight through exhaust system

Elbow - On the K14 the exhaust elbow (off the turbo) is fairly small and is a restriction. If you could unbolt it and stick a bigger turn off the turbo then that would help it breathe.

That said 147bhp was made on a Bosch 11mm, Top mount intercooler and a K14 i believe. Check out the Dyno Bible for the XUD and that gives peoples setups and power outputs.
