caliper colour??
#1
Not sure now, after kinda knowing due to having the paint, about my brake calipers being blue.
That was always the plan for some reason, but now Im not sure, Im thinking either bright yellow or black.

Thoughts?

Oh and FYI, new wheels on, calipers will be seen, and new wheels are painted Cossack grey Smile

On your car, silver. It's pretty oem, and I don't think lairy brakes would suit it.

No. Might not last as long as VHT if you cook the brakes at every opportunity, but it's a road car. How many people use Hammerite without issue?

As Curt says, it's a light car and while the brakes get hot they never get hot enough to melt paint off!

On my old Cabriolet I had 206 GTi180 calipers and they were painted china blue Smile

Black. OEM+ all the way.

Coloured calipers rarely work IMO and look tacky; very few cars can pull it off, moonstone definitely cant

Ooo I used to paint them gold back in my Ford days...

Im thinking either black yellow or moostone

Doing mine gold on the Moonstone, choose another colour Piggy. Tongue

Done the ones on the China gold, they're not as big as Nialls though. Sad lol

...?

Gold is a factory colour along with silver, so it's pretty subtle.

I've had quite a few colour variations over the years...

Red on my black XS -

Gold on me ol' China -
[Image: 18102009095.jpg]

China on my China Cab -

I think they need to have a slight contrast to be honest. Definitely never paint drum brakes though, that's frowned upon lol
