Aye, they're a pretty run of the mill sort of item but does anyone know just how many different alternators are used across the 306 range?

Reason why I ask: mine died today after only 16 years so I had a look at the one off my doner car for the trailer and it is different. I had a look at my mates and his is different again. Which made me wonder just how many different alternators were used.

Anyone any idea?

At least 8 or more, different amperages, mounting lugs etc! The one on my HDi was so obscure I couldnt get a second hand one and had to order a brand new one Undecided
