XUD Conversion Question.
#1
So it looks like the blaze is for the chop, still got a dodgy front end even after all new components and now the heater matrix has gone.
I have a silver 1.4 outside with low miles,no rust, but a few dings and too many doors.
Also access to a silver 5 door HDI that is tattier still, has dodgy electrics ,unknown to me and somebody tried to steal it and messed up the ignition.
I want to put my XUD into one of these and was wondering which would be easiest to do?
Would prefer the petrol as it's tidier.
Do I still have to take the dash out of the 1.4 to get clocks/guages working or not?
Im aware of the fuel tank and filler neck, its the clocks that bother me,if I have to take out the dash I am not gonna bother.

Cheers,Danny.

Remove the steering column surround. (3screws)
Remove the shroud around the clocks (4screws)
Remove the 3 screws holding the clocks in.

Unplug and remove clocks. Refit ph2 dturbo clocks if its a ph2/3 car or ph1 dturbo clocks if its a ph1 car
Wishes for more power...

Cool so clocks are easy enough then. Cheers Piggy.
Just thought about the fact the 1.4 is ECU controlled, will that cause me issues?
Cheers,Danny.

No, my HDI was ECU controlled but XUD was plug & play.

Just need to plug the XUD engine loom into the NSF inner wing plugs.
