Evening all.
Bit stumped with this one. There an annoying squeak from that area when driving over 20mph ish and constant when going quicker.
Stop the car and rev it, the squeak isn't there.
Both belts been replaced recently.
Jacked the wheel and span it. Wheel bearing sounded rough but would that shouldn't cause a squeak?
Either that or driveshaft.
Has anyone got an ideas? Cheers.

Wheel bearings can make all sorts of odd noises, if it needs doing anyway you may as well do it then see if the noise has gone.

Yeah that's true. I'll have to try that first and go from there I guess as its the cheapest option first.

yes if the wheel bearing is slack it can cause the wheel/disc to "lean".....any corrosion on disc, cv etc can cause a squeak..........mine had a squeak at the rear o/s........disc corroded as well as tin shield but bearings all seem fine, not noisy or have play. since cleaned away corrosion, noise has gone.

Gonna get the bearing replaced on Tuesday and see if that cures it.
Only happens when driving straight. Turning it stops.

Sounds like bearing or cv joint
