what to look out for when buying second hand?

(i'm not sure if this has been covered anywhere else but thought i would just ask)
im going to view a gti6 tomorrow, its done 89k, its got mot etc. however the owner has only got ssh, and is unsure when the cambelt was done last. which isnt really a problem because the car is only up for 700 pounds and can just get the cambelt sorted with extra cash left over. what are the main things i need to check when viewing a second hand 6?

Cambelt, rear beam, rear wheel arches for rust, drivers seat and steering wheel wear, check the colour of the oil. And ass the usual things like make sure the lights, wipers, heaters etc work.
