Tyre sizes, swap or match,
#1
Hi All,
after getting a cheap set of cyclones on ebay (£31, result), at least two of the tyres need replacing.
Unfortunately the previous owner had an interesting choice of tyre size, three were 195/55/15's (which I understand is standard fit), of which two need replacing, and one is 205/55/15 (which would made their car an MOT failure as they have to match on the same axle).

On a pretty tight budget, so choice is replace three wheels to make the full set 195's, or make one a 195 (and stick on the front), and make the other a 205 and stick on the rear with the other 205.

I'd just get three 195 if you can afford it bud. Not the end of the world if not 205 will fit they are just not the best size for em.
On the 306 waiting list.

4 195 50's would lilkely be less than the price of 3 195 55s
Then sell the 205 and 195 on ebay as partworns.

195/50s are dirt cheap. I payed 68 a corner for my toyos in 55s. If I had gone 50s they would have been 38 :/

Its not that bad. Going from 205 40 17 to 195 55 is a hell of a difference

As above, I'd go for the 195/50/15 option, it's much cheaper Smile

4 x 195/50/15 - £159.95 inc post

Another quick question on this, and am sure it will occur to others...should I still be using 36/37Psi now I have changed tyres?
