When you've got ??? it is usually an immobiliser/ECU fault. Buy a de-immobilised ECU and test that out.
I was going to predict that before I got to the bottom of the thread but it seems you;ve already connected PP2000 and found the ECU to be at fault.
Look at the bosch number on the front of your ECU, you can just buy one straight off ebay with IMMO off.
