306 S16: Depression and vacuum gauge, Oil and oil pressure gauge
#1
hello guys ...

I thought what would be the more appropriate section to write this post ... I have not found one so I hope this is the right compromise.

I need to install in the din of the radio 3 instruments:
- Oil pressure gauge
- Oil temperature
- vacuum gauge

As for the oil I think I fit a sandwich between the engine block and oil flter, I have already one with a bout of pressure and temperature.
What do you say? okay as a solution or should I take other roads?
At what point do I get the wire in the car?

As for the vacuum gauge ....
Where do I pass the tube that should be the instrument?
The connection I would do it in T vacuum tube that is divided between fuel pressure regulator and controller. Right?
What values should I have vacuum?

Thanks...

Yes a sandwhich plate between the block and filter is the correct way to do it.

The wires can be passed through into the cabin via a grommit in the bulkhead, if your from another country that would mean your steering wheel is on the other side so grommits might be in different places, so i cant help much there.

Could you not just drill and tap a nipple on the manifold to measure vacuum? Or is it the vacuum of something else you want to measure?
Doesnt even own a 306.

ok thanks. I bought this:
Oil Adapter / Sandwich Plate + Oil Cooler AN10 Connections
description:This adapter plate can be used to install oil temperature and oil pressure gauges, as well as turbo oil lines. Will fit most cars, as we include 2 different installation bolts: M20x15 and 3/4x16 thread.
Color: We send blue or silver, it depends on our current stock.

where is best to put it?

I thought I'd put it here:

Radiator top hose is the normal spot for those adapters, should get a god flow that way, I'm not sure of that exact pipe on the XU Petrol.
