Wanted: GTI6 Head, Gearbox, LSD, Decat

Hello people, I have plans for the 1.8 so before i go out and buy the below lets see if anyone has it second hand and cheap.

GTI6 Head,
GTI6 Gearbox cable and gear lever,
GTI6 Clutch,
Emerald K6 ECU and harness adapter,
GTI6 DeCat
Quaife QDF3H Limited Slip Diff
Throttle bodies maybe if anyone has some?

I am essentially testing the water for these parts and i am not after them immediately but I am on the look out!

I'll have a gti6 head going, will need a skim
£30 and bring it to ace cafe?

probably reading it wrong but are you after a gearbox too

I've got a gearbox you can have cheap. Just need to wait for me to get to the mainland Smile

Is it a snapper? Yeh I'm after a 6 speed box and everything needed for the conversion too!

No the piston had melted but there was no damage to the head. AFAIK it didn't tap, but I never ran the engine

I'll ask my mate about the box now, he don't want a lot for it

My mate wants to sell the gear box just getting back to me with a price

Sam a K6 will be almost as expensive new as it is second hand. There is a guy on the 6 forum selling a omex 600 with loom and holder for 550 at the moment which is fairly cheap! Loom is built for a 6 engine as well so direct plug in

I have a white inlet, has throttle body, injectors, rail. Was looking for £60 posted for all of it. However if I was to fit the white one I could sell you my standard one?

oh sorry didnt see that under the line. seen its £40 for the box now. im working out everything i need atm. Does that include everything needed for conversion? Think its just the cable but i may as well buy a new one!

If you are doing big power, don't bother with a quaife diff. I've got one on mine, it can't transmit enough torque out of tight corners as it's not an LSD, it's an ATB.

You need a tran-x plate diff... wish I'd bought one!

Tran X don't make diff's anymore as they sold out to Quaife
