Yes well, being a Blackpudlian I did my work experience for a week at the TVR factory in Bispham, working on the Tuscan series race cars (that were actually Griffiths, just to confuse you) and general sexiness around the factory. This was when the Mk1 Tuscan was out, got taken out in a customer car that had just rolled off the production line, taken to 140mph down Amounderness Way by the test driver. It's a 40 limit. Oaft.
Also got my hands on a Cerbera Speed 12, the facelifted version. In fact, just like this, in this colour, in Peter Wheeler's private garage:
Oh and they had a new V12 engine in development but it never hit production. And they were carving the shape of the T350C concept in full size styrofoam.
Oh and someone down the road had a TWR XJ220 in yellow that liked to race the TVR's leaving the factory.
And it was also when putting a shift in in their stores I learned exactly how much crap is stolen from other manufacturers. For example, did you know that the Griffith rear lights are actually Cavalier lights turned upside down? Don't believe me?
BEST. WEEK. EVER.
