Anyone handy with alloy fitments?
#1
Looking at fitting alloys to a car, want to know how difficult it would be.
The alloys are...
5x130
9jx20"
Centre bore 71.5
Offset 50

The car they are going on is an audi and fitment is...
5x112
Centre bore is 57.1
Offset 35 to 45

So obviously I need 5x112 to 5x130 spacers but I haven't a notion about offsets and are they too wide etc? Any help appreciated Smile

You may find they sit too far in the arches without spacers.

Yeah 50 is quite a far in offset. Depending on what they are going on 9" is pretty wide.

So higher the offset the more tuck?

The alloys are off an Audi Q7 and going on an Audi A4

Yup, higher offset means they sit further in, dont forget adapters will be 15-20mm so will make the offset 30-35

surely the spacers will increase the offset and push the wheels even further out?

offset is measured from the centreline no?

Offset is measured from the centre line, but the lower the offset the further out the lip is.

exactly, +ve offset higher the number the further out from the centreline so the further in the wheel.

hence why a 206 alloy sits too far in on a 306 (offset on a 206 is larger than a 306). So by adding spacers you are lowering the offset and pushing the wheel outwards.
