Tps. Self explanatory really.

Also for the fuel vapour release valve? Anyone tell what, where and how to check and replace this.

Had bad running since we got it very hit and miss to weather it will even start, and these are the two codes we were told from the obd reading.

SPI or MPI?

The vapour release valve is a black canister under the drivers wing if im not mistaken. Funny how that flags up a code really, didn't think there was any sensors on the canister. But yeah it goes from the fuel take up to the drivers wing into a canister, then back to the engine if i'm not mistaken.

Thats the one, carbon canister.. i just couldnt remember the name, but yeah its under the drivers wing.
And with it being carb not injection you get more fumes.. so yeah have a look at that canister for any knackered pipes.. and if it does have a sensor, try getting another canister from the scrappies.

I'm a bit of a TU engine freak unfortunately.. owned about 6 TU engined 106's lol

that's the emissions valve / purge valve, it'll be behind your drivers side engine mount, the rubber pipe it sits on comes from the back of the spi unit, and then goes behind the wing to the charcoal canister, that then drains back into the fuel tank

as far as replacing them goes, pull off the pipes, disconnect wiring, throw violently over shoulder, fit new one (fitting is reverse of removal etc)

Are Tps the same across the range of engines. All ones listed on ebay are identical and ecp don't list them at all

hate to say it, but i think that you may as well replace the throttle body with a scrapper one, the tps on the 954's is essentially non-removable, and last time i checked was a citroen only part... but they would only sell you the lower part of the TB anyway which is £££

just checked servicebox, it doesn't list a seperate part, so you're stuck with a new/scrapper tb, citroen part number - 00001920X4

what he said, I had a 1.1SPI and the TPS naffed up. Popped into the scrappy and bought a whole new throttle body. think its only 4 torx bolts to remove and a few pipes/cables. Sorted the running problem out.
