Jethro's TD estate
#1
Hello everybody

I'm Matthias from Belgium and this is my daily ride.
I'll put up an introducing topic for myself later on.

It's a '99 306 xt turbo-diesel estate with aprox 250.000KM on it.
Also has a sunroof and aircon (that doesn't work yet) and it's an absolute joy to drive around in.

Bought it like this half a year ago and began to do some changes
[Image: IMG_0582.jpg]

Replaced the dented wing and testfitted a friends wheels
[Image: 2013-05-08122632.jpg]

Out camping
[Image: IMG_4843.jpg]

Then fitted my Schmidt Modern lines I had lying around from my other car (Pug 309, in rebuild for the moment)

At a French car meet
[Image: 1044837_10200520310382718_1279036206_n.jpg]

And this is how she sits for the moment, waiting for a rear beam change to get her fully low
[Image: IMG_7303.jpg]

Small list of changes so far:
*Weitec coilovers
*Vmax rear dampers
*"Fixed" dented wing
*Schmidt Modern lines (15x8, 195/45 tyres, offset 10 in front, 0 in the rear)
*Black masked Depo headlights
*Stickerbombed rear windows and interior bits
*Sony Xplod radio and new speakers all round
*...

Changes to come:
*Other rear beam for some sweet lowzz
*Fix some small things like the aircon and a new exhaust
*Maybe fit some plasma dials and a boost guage
*In the near future maybe fidling around a bit with the pump to get some extra hp

That'll be all (for now!)

*fix small things like the air con*

lmao

I wouldn't bother mate, it's a widely known fact that 306 air con never works anyway!

Looks nice though, liking what you've done with it, see you've got some good plans too. Look forward to seeing this progress. Big Grin

Do you know if any 306's in Belgium came with heated seats or cruse control?

I really like the colour and where this is going. Belgian plates are so cool in the red and white colour.

Thanks! I'm a big fan of the colour too, especially when it had a wash Cool
And I'm not a big fan of our license plates, like UK ones though. Wanne trade? lol

Thanks! I try to go a bit euro-nu-rat-something, haha :p
And the wing: atm I like it this way, it's better than the dented one. Maybe I'll sort it out one day, the first thing on the list is some moar lows Big Grin

I think it's about time that I update this thread, since much has happened to the estate lately Big Grin

First, some older pics
[Image: IMG_7642.jpg]
[Image: 1243864_10201641065581497_506828157_o.jpg]

Then I bought a badgeless hood and grille (and another estate for bits & pieces)

Since the car was in 3 different colors at that time, I decided to put it completely in 'primer-grey' with some spray cans (also fixed some dents) So I could roll some paint over it later on
[Image: IMG_9290.jpg]

Drove around like that for some time, also went to the Peugeot museum in Sochaux

Fixed some small stuff, got some wind deflectors and went on a roadtrip to Croatia (drove around 4000km in a week)

After that I decided it was time to put a color on her, since the primer was a pain in the ass to keep clean. Also send the Schmidt's to get refurbished while I was on holiday

Then there was a 'French car only' meet (Frenchworxx)

Sourced a good rear beam after a looooong search, thanks to a friend. Also rolled the arches

I allready have a set of those, haha Big Grin but I must say I didn't do a perfect fix on the dents (was my first time working with filler) but the biggest ones are gone.

The black strips will be refurbished after she gets her next layer of paint. Will look a lot better indeed Smile

That looks pretty good considering it's rollered on, fair play! Quite like the finish as it is tbh, suits the look of the car.
