Wanted: low entry lightweight jack
#1
In the market for a low entry jack and really I want a lightweight ally one too.

1.25-1.5t.

Can get one new for £84...but if someone has one and has upgraded to a beefier one, perhaps you got one or know of one for sale!

The 'arcan' brand they sell in Costco is rated to 2T and is absolutely fantastic, a few of us on here have them.

I can recommend this one but it's not alloy and is quite heavy (or I'm weak lol)

Worth the extra cash, rated to much higher so you aren't lifting on near on the limit of a 1.25t, and very well constructed.

well unless you plan on lifting the whole car in one spot, 1.25t jack wont be anywhere near the limit for a 306!

yeah after a ally one, make things easier for me.

thanks though ya'll, I will keep looking

Vaughn dont forget its 2 american Tons so about 1800kg. Not that that really matters because id be impressed if you were lifting one corner of the car and it weighed more than 1800kg!

Buy shit buy twice mate, spend a little more and get a decent one with a guarantee, we've f*cked a couple of sealey ones, yet the pace one that came back from America in '99 is still perfect, alright it was nearly £1,000 but when we were doing the pitstop races it was good, 3 pumps to full height!never let us down once
Now only a has been!!

Damn straight.

Look on eBay, hardly anyone sells decent trolley jacks, why would they anyway? Sort of a buy once and keep for life tool.

If it was for sale second hand I'd have to question why, and would you trust some random jack with an unknown history anyway with your pride and joy? When you know a new one only costs £84?

Don't buy the machine mart Clarke one of that is what you saw. Had one, it popped a seal. Replaced it under warranty and same happened. Bolts weren't thread locked either so kept coming out. Utter junk.

I got two of the arcan ones instead.
