Looks nice mate, ive always wanted an Impreza, but the classic shape. Gotta love the smile factor you get from a Scoob, any time you give it some beans!
Heh, I love scoobies, especially classics, wanted one since I was about 10 years old! This model is my second favourite though, but dare I say, I have grown to appreciate the model before it (the infamous bugeye) more. Hell what can I say, I love all Imprezas (apart from the hatches but they aren't real imprezas ) Shame about the colour though! Imprezas should be blue, black or white in my opinion. Edit: just noticed the aftermarket boost gauge, don't these have one as standard?
The classic does have more of a raw rumble i must admit! But finding a decent one nowadays that a chav hasnt abused is un heard of you can pick a turbo 2000 up for a grand now.
I actually dont mind the bugeye to be fair i just wanted the newest low miler car i could get for my money, i never used to like the hatches but they have grown on me although with the dreaded 2.5 engine failures i would never own a uk one! Crystal grey ftw No they didn't come with gauges, although i think some jdm spec models came with genome gauges as a factory fitted extra which are like rocking horse shit, abit like wheelmania lions are in the pug world

I've also grown to kinda like the bugeyes, especially since my mate bagged himself a uk300. I'd be more than happy with a turbo 2000, plenty of grunt, and as i mentioned in my previous post, plenty of smile factor! But you are right, the chances of finding one that hasn't been abused by some chavvy little scrotum are getting slimmer by the day.

It's interesting what you say about the classic shaped imprezas, just a quick look on ebay and autotrader come up with a few decent turbo 2000s that are standard or with good mods done to them, so it doesn't seem that dire. There's also the special editions such as RB5s, P1s and 22Bs (22Bs are rare) which will have been looked after properly because they tend to attract real enthusiasts rather than chavs. But unfortunately most Impreza classics I see out and about nowadays do seem to have atleast lexus lights which is a crying shame.

Any less than 300bhp and it would bore you, But then you always want more power :/
Doesnt even own a 306.
04-07-2013, 01:37 PM
Nah, not for me, 200bhp is more than enough for the road, that way you can thrash it without risking your life/license

Thing is though, for example, take the RB320 Scooby.... It's 1495kg. Thats FRIGGIN heavy!! And they're 316hp at the fly. Meaning even allowing for 10% transmission losses (being AWD they'll almost surely be more than that!), it'll only be making 284AWHP, which then works out at 196AWHP/Tonne. which really aint that much imo! The only reason scoobys are quick is when it comes to cornering and acceleration from a dig, and even then only if you're prepared to literally ra*e the clutch! I still have love for the P1 though!

Not a 306 owner anymore but I am still on the hunt for a mint hdi if they even exist anymore.... This happened the other day
We'll not a lot has happened with this lately except some new rubber all round and plenty of fuel bills done a quick mod today which some of you guys will be familiar with on here, de tango and masked the headlights, money is tight for mods at the minute as I'm going to California in August but I do have my eyes on this lot.... Car fells quite tired underneath really so I'm hoping this will rectify it http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/pro...ts_id=1957

Cheers bud ^ Also forgot to mention I fitted these too..... Forged competition clutch lightweight flywheel @ 6.4 kg compare to 10 odd as standard, pickup is so much better and revs a lot more freely, also an exedy pink box organic clutch good for 400/400 so future proof too realease bearing and spigot bearing were done also....as you can see the old one was shot :/ paid 6 hours labour to get it in
