Clutch ?
#1
got a problem on my 306 gti.

the clutch pedal is very low and hard to press.

after around 10 miles of driving, first and second gear become difficult to select and they crunch.

once the car has sat for a good while the gears select pretty normally.

does this sound like the clutch or clutch cable ?

cheers

Clutch to me. I'd start saving to get it replaced. Also while the box is out, do the clutch fork bushes. Only about a fiver for both and a 2 minute job but makes a big difference!

Cross shaft, or the arm that operates the clutch normally, the arm rust's into the lower bush, Replace these along with a clutch and cable and they are very light indeed, Most clutch changes never include this thou
