Started on painting the banded steels today. Will probably have them refurbed properly before fcs. For now I fancied matte purple. Think I'll have the roof vinyl'd to match.
Literally all I did was buy the paint, clean the wheels, mask the wheels, spray the wheels. Proper job.
Masked up:
First coat:
Done:
Fairly happy with that for a rattle can job.
Just doing the rears today, need to get new tyres on the fronts before I do them. Suggestions for tyres? 195 like the last pair or 185 for a bit more stretch?

You'd be best to give them a bit of a rub down first.

Meh it's cost me £18 and they needed refurbing anyway! They'll probably change colour again before fcs.

Can't fault it! Painted a bmx with it a couple of years ago, completely forgot this was what I used. Bought a few different nozzles too, gives you plenty of options.

Right wanting to get tyres on these asap, thinking rainsport 2's and sticiking with 195s. On blackcircles they are £140 for a pair fitted. Sound about right?

How much?! I paid £130 for four tyres delivered and about £30 fitting when I bought RS2's a couple of years back. That's extortion!
Hold up.. are they 15's or 16's? If they're 15's, get them here Clicky

Look on camskill and just take them to get fitted at a garage normally charge £20-£25 to fit 4 tyres.
Rainsports are on offer on camskill I think.

Very true. But tight wheel bolts are over rated right?

For the protection/hardness pleeeeeeease at least get a can of matte lacquer or you'll be seeing the paint flicking off while you drive. (well it will anyhow as the surface wasn't scotched etc)

Cheers for the links guys, looking at 45's not 50's so looking at £50 a corner on camskill or £48 on allnewtyres. Hmmm.

You underestimate the epicness of montana gold paint sir. ..
Its acrylic for a start and has been designed to stick to f*cking anything as its graffiti paint. Plus it blends itself if you do touch ups.
Trust me, my entire car's painted in it
