does anyone have a guide for this?

Going to be removing it soon and need advice fitting the new one, im clueless!

Hold on, you want to remove the alternator, with the belt still on?
It's a automatic tensioner. Just loosen the tensioner and remove the belt. 3 second job. Then you will have to battle with the alternator bolts....

the energizer has broken down inside causing it to short against the positive terminal
