I'll let you in on a secret about girls. We might say we don't want to be spoilt, but deep down we do. We want all the romantic gestures, surprises, to be swept off our feet etc. The hints are so you get on the right lines, but it means so much when it comes to opening our presents, not sure what we're getting and then finding out it's perfect. We don't want to have to say it and make it damn obvious, we want you to think and do it yourself.
That may sound like a f*cked up logic to you guys, but it's true! Look at 50 Shade of Grey- I can guarantee that it didn't become so popular because of the sex in it, the main character is a hopeless romantic who sweeps her off her feet, and it made the girls reading fall in love with him!

I prefer the man logic. Much more to the point, less time wasted talking means more time drinking beer.....
Oh and btw. Women blatantly only read 50 shades for the sex which I think is out or order. They can happily read it on the train on the way to work but I get told off when I watch a porno on my iPad on the bus.

To be honest, if we stopped dropping hints we'd have more time to drink wine too.....but then we wouldn't be women  It's just more romantic when you figure it out for yourselves!

True. Tbh I might go into Sainsburys on the 13th and get a cucumber, 50 shades, a towel and the biggest pot of Vaseline and see the look on the cashiers face when all I say is "it's valentines day tomorrow"
