But after seeing this at fcs you have tidied the body up, it was a bit worse for wear the last time i seen her lol

It still is very worse for wear tbh... Once I've got the engine / mechanicals all sorted it'll be going for a respray / new wings etc

So done some cleaning of the car today, and got it booked in at pugfest to visit the dentman and try and get some of the (many) dents knocked out of the rear 1/4's.

Hoping to get a good few runs up the hill this weekend!

Gah, didn't manage to get due to a mate and my brother not getting their lazy f*cking arses out of bed, what did you want doing to the cage?

The only issue with adding to the cage you have is very probably I wouldn't be able to weld the entire circumference of the a-pillar bars where they meet the existing rear half cage - it would probably be very difficult to get around the top unless it stops a good few inches shy of the roof?

Unless it needs to be MSA approved it's not really a massive issue.

No, it's pretty tight up to the sunroof tbh.

Doesn't need to be MSA approved, just so if I roll it over I don't break my head!

That's okay then, should be doable with patterns for my cages so, a pillar bars, door bars (single or doubles?), what about upper windscreen bar? Dash bar?

Okay, I'll get you a rough price, will need to have a closer look at your cage sometime to give a firm quote - I can offer one of my pillars up and see if it'll fit without doing a new program.

Cheers mate, glad it looked good... Felt good on track too. It's nice to be able to explore the chassis a bit more than you can on the road with it. Everything seems to have come together nicely and made a pretty sorted track car in the end!

I know what you mean mate.. I knew i would but as soon as i left i regretted not going up the hill.. had been umming and arring all day! Any idea on how it performed in comparison to similar power petrols that ran?

All I know is it was pretty fast.

Seemed to pull out of the tight corners better due to better low down torque etc.

I.e out of the tight left hand hairpin, where petrols were bogging right down and having to get revved right up again - we were on full boost immediately (so long as we dropped to 1st gear) and on it down the back straight up to the esses.

Exactly what i had to do

Didn't have to at all in Pierre.

2nd gear dropped JUST off boost (full boost at 2500rpm) and it dropped to about 2300rpm so took about 1s to get back on the boil, but 1st gear was full boost mid hairpin if we wanted it!

I'd blame that mainly on the box for the 6's though jamie, 45mph in first is pretty long! Especially when compared to 25-30mph in 1st in a DT/HDi
