ha you think that will make a differance ?
or the fact the turbo being in the line will quieten it most

GTI6 Info

Don’t drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.

Going to test drive it soon.
All I'm hoping is isn't as boomy down low.

Gotta crack on with the turbo and get the 205 on the road
Less shiny...more boost...

C'mon!
Wishes for more power...
Chill winston

Turbo plate is being done later for the hdi.

Need to get the 205 on the road first though so I have a working car. But I need the engine crane back off Ryan! Wink
It has actually quietened down the car a hell of a lot! No where near as boomy as it was
That looks great, where did you get it?
306 HDi Deathtrap - 130bhp / 220lbft

All custom basically.

4 inch universal exhaust hangers
Ah fair play. Was going to say i couldn't find anything close to that when i was looking for one, but if it's custom... lol

The wife is now driving this, better get the cyclones back on before they're kerbed to f*ck.

She put her foot down and it scared her, apart from maintenence etc I think the turbo is on hold until I get the 205 running
As you may of seen from the other thread the HG is definitely gone.

Managed to source a head (thanks piggy) and I've just ordered head bolts /HG etc and also treated it to a new rad and alt.

Trying to get the gt20 fitted with the head swap
[Image: IMG-20160419-WA0007_zpsudqjaepk.jpeg]

Everything to do the HG, new rad and alt as well.

Everything is also coming through in the post for the gt20
Looking good! I need a GT20 back in my life..

Where did you get the silencer from?
Welding and fabrication projects undertaken, contact me for more information.

Off ebay

I'm a bit worried these are a bit pitted to be reusable?!

And how the f*ck do you get the stem seals out?
different design to 6 engines I've worked on before
Valve stem remover or long pliers.
Those valves be fine, just use coarse then fine when lapping them in

Or fire?

Tried pulling them out, no joy. Falling to pieces

Looks like a new set of inlet valves are in order
Physically the head and valve seats are fine, just the valves which have pitting on 50% of them which I don't think will lap out
Going to get a full set of new valves, work's out to be £60 odd
You have all the luck mate.
Be good peace of mind when it's done though.

I do indeed have all the luck, there's play in the NS arm on the rear beam ffs

Turbo plate take 2, slight trimming needed
[Image: 20160507_190753_zpsgrktpzf7.jpg]

Ah ha you little f*ckers, finally got you out
nice to see you getting on with this man. looking at the valves id just fork out for 8 new ones. wouldnt run the pitted ones personally
On a break from 306oc for personal reasons. If anyone needs or wants me most of you have my number and or facebook messenger
Thanks for the good times guys n gals. I might be back. Who knows.
I am don't worry, just got to find some where to skim it
One more bolt to trim and the turbo is bolted to the manifold.
Will after a very sprinted drive this morning, I think I've cooked the thing lol turbo sounds very very very poorly. Think I better take it easy if I want this to last till I fix it. Just need to get the damn 205 done as well
