Got it cheap (£400) as a non runner, it was on ebay.
Hoping its just a FPR thats knackered. picking it up saturday and probably loaning it too Ozonehostile till he sorts himself a car out  worst case its a pump which i have multiple spares of.

Anywho here it is, should do as a good winter hack to spare the lovely megane ;)

Only modification is GTi half leathers. even has factory stereo!

		Ebay is my friend
Zakk - you dont need a dturbo, just plump for a 5dr GLX or something just to smash daily miles on and chuck parts / welders in! otherwise OCD zakk will take over and it will as clean as the '6
137k on the clock, only issue that i found is the drivers door check strap doesnt function

I respect the concept of ebay.

Anyhow.

Is your plan to take the megane off the road then for winter? Modding time??
Meg will just be used for nice days and formal occasions.

The meg is a 5k motor, the hdi is a £400 car. I'll be in the sensible corner if anyone wants to join me

The meg will be worth a lot less than 5k in 5 years time but it will still be worth more than a Dturbo.

They'll both be worth less than a grand in 5 years time, my Focus also. I'd drive the Meg through winter tbh, maybe stick a set of winter wheels/tyres on it. Seems a waste to not use it through winter but each to their own.
Also I can't stand cherry and have paid less for none runner DTurbo HDis, in equally poor colours.

Everyone is an expert on here it seems lately
Ive paid alot less for running hdi's with MOT that i used daily for months and had no troubles with! Does that have any impact on this purchase? does it f*ck. fact is i like the colour, the shells immaculate, its got a folder chocked full of service history, 10 months MOT and its *hopefully* gonna cost f*ck all to get running and on the road. Thats a risk i have committed to taking evidently
Winter tyres for the meggy are silly money (225/40/18) whereas i can buy some hdi fitment ones (195/55/15) for circa £60 a corner for top spec ones. Also the HDi doesnt have intrusive ESP to battle through winter with.

If the ESP on the Meg is intrusive it's not set up right...shitty Renault. I don't find it intrusive at all on the Focus tbh. You can turn it off in snow anyway.

I know the tyres would be expensive, but surely cheaper to buy smaller wheels with winter tyres, unless the brakes are too big for that.
