Mocal Cooler

Looking for an oil cooler to replace the standard rad fed cooler...

Thermostatic sandwich plate and a small 10 or 13 row would be good.

Just fyi, You need to keep the heat exchanger in place even if you do use a mocal oil cooler with stat' plate

you don't have to keep it, seen them fitted both with and without.

I think my exchanger is allowing oil into the water hence replacing.

I've got a 16 row Mocal kit with thermostatic takeoff if that's of any interest?

You don't have to no bud, but its pretty important to do so. 
Remember its not really a oil cooler as such, rather a heat exchanger. 

Replace it if needed buddy, find them very cheap

Where?

I had a look but always a bit apprehensive over pattern stuff as had various items fail on me where as when I've spent the extra or waited for genuine its never failed.
£200 odd for a genuine one is a tad pricey

Its worth keeping the original heat exchanger. See, it won't cool the oil that much but what it will do is help warm it from cold quicker!

Don't take off the heat exchanger. You gain nothing by doing so and will have to wait longer for the oil to warm up.
