im now confused over the colour of my car as graham has a 'nile' blue gti-6 i was told by halfords mine is 'china' blue but chine looks the wrong colour can sumone tell me what the paint codes are and where to find it please

As said if you still can't figure it out (Nile and China can look very similar depending on the condition of the paint/light etc) check the passenger side strut top.

IIRC I used to think my old 306 was China blue, but it turned out to be Miami blue.. Could be the same for you?

IIRC there are 2 china blues, one metallic and one pearlecent like the diablo red I may be totally wrong though

Paint code might well be on the VIN plate but I can't remember and haven't had a chance to check!

you mean pine wood? possibly. its not quite a deep greean as venetian. gunna get some stuff from halfrauds, try and get a match.

There are many many greens, sherwood is much more likely than Pinewood too

It is china blue and there is actually 6 shades of china. 1 of pearl and the others are metallic.

Correct miami is a ph1 and china iirc ph3 colour

China is a phase 2 and 3 colour. The dturbo S was a phase 2 car and came in china blue, though the china blue used for phase 2s is different to the china used on phase 3s

Was the ph2 not the metallic and ph3 pearl?

Your best bet is to go to an auto paint suppliers and get them to match it though most will mix cans for less than halfords charge for the pre-mixed stuff too
