Hi does anyone know if a volvo v40 direct injection 1.9d be mapped or is it tuning box only as its not common rail???

The V40 uses the Renault F9Q dCi engine which is CommonRail.
It can be remapped, however it can also have a tuning box... Just because an engine isn't CommonRail, doesn't mean it can't be mapped, most early VW TDis are like this, use a rotary pump, but electronic control  Not sure why it's in the HDi section, mind!

Its not the common rail one its the direct injection one mate but now i know they can be mapped ill get hold of jp to see if he can do it
Its in the hdi section as you guys really know your stuff on most diesels and i dont want to join another forum for a answer you guys can give me

Well it isn't an HDi tbf. Then again, what are the chances the xud boys would be any use...
  Personally i know f*ck all about them, so will just contribute the usual "should have bought a 306".
