Someone help me find a decent dash mount.

Want to get some skid videos in the Datsun and don't want to fork for a GoPro just yet.

Plenty of cheapies on eGay but I'm quite happy to fork out a bit more.

Anyone have any recommendations?

WEll, i have one of the ones from halfrauds... grips nice, nice and stiff (in addition to this i rested the bottom on the dash), and the actual "wire" bit is quite short so it doesnt hop around like some do when you go over bumps..

mine was cheap, but they have a few specific ones in the store.. case of going in and having a look mate..

Hmm, I'll pop in at some point, probably better ones online for less money but doesn't seem a very common thing. It's either GoPro or nothing.

Looks good for the money, not quiet as clear at night for capturing dark spots as the GoPro but at that price can't really complain, that could be an option for me. Do you have one?

Probably gonna get this one for £65.
Seller seems decent and says comes with a year warranty..
 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171371343074
only thing putting me off is it's 720P 30FPS, 1080P 30FPS..

It's the sort of thing I don't intend to buy again for a while and 60 FPS is pretty standard imo.

Looks like your going off the phone dash mount question but we use and sell Brodit cradles mostly and they're pretty good
Fairly stiff and don't flop around can get them with a built in charger too

Agreed Dave, but the price! GoPro's are probably the best thing for it but at £250 a pop I think I'll have to pass. Seems over kill for a car mount..

I thought the iPhone 5S camera would do the job, does 1080P at 30FPS so the same as an SJ4000.

The SJ4000 could prove fun in other applications too.
