I've owned quite a few Peugeots now but one thing that I've always noticed, all 306 smell the same when you open the door, petrol or diesel, all the same. Like a hot oil and old air freshener scent.

Anyone else noticed or am I just going wrong in the head haha

Lol, I guess I notice the smell of a car more now since I stopped smoking

I think my estate will forever smell of the airfreshner overload that was going on when I bought it.

I guess that's because the chap I bought it off was a bit Erm..... Herbal ;-) haha

306's do have a smell (when they're not full of air freshners lol). Can't really explain it but whenever getting back in one after a while without there is a distinctive smell....

Now you mentioned it, I think it is kind of a hot oily smell.....something to do with the cabin air intake is and no pollen filter maybe.....hmm...
