Different ways of lowering a torsion bar..?

Everyone is diffeent though. Once the plates were off the trailing arms came out with one bash of the slide hammer!

Iv got hold of a 10lb one now also a 20lb one just incase, lol. i have also been referred to the socket and long bolt method though im a bit unsure on that

Is that to get the front plate off?

no to pull the torsion, put a socket (bigger than the torsion) put a long bolt through socket in to torsion with a washer start winding and it should pull the bar into the socket,

Dont no how well this works mind and tbh it sounds like a good way to snap a bolt in there!

I put an m8 bolt into the torsion bar and pulled it off with the slide hammer.

To get the front plate off I wedged in screw drivers and wound in an m12 bolt to wind the plate off.

A lowerd my m8s car yesterday the pikey way and it sits well not too low and not too high over all it dropped 70mm
