Did it look like this? ![[Image: IMAG1440.jpg]](https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4147571/IMAG1440.jpg)
Coming home from the petrol station I noticed the car didn't sound quite right, like it had extra diesel clatter. Pulled up and i was greeted with a not very welcome sound.

Assumed it was the crank pulley, find it as per the pic above. Seems to be a little eccentric, and the shiny ring that's part exposed stays where it is which sort of confirms this.

Anyone know an ECP part number for the 307 solid pulley? I'm confused. Want to get one ordered now for click and collect.

Looking at servicebox it's a 162mm diameter pulley. I only see two on ECP for that diameter, so I make it this one:
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Peugeo...310&000091
Is that correct?

Anyone used this cheaper one with any success?
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Peugeo...fce&000091
They're the only two at 162mm.

One of mine looked like that.
I couldn't tell you which one to go for out of the two.

The 307 has a one way clutch on the alternator to let it free wheel when you get off the throttle. Would you think it worth getting one of them as well?

		Thanks both.
Car is on a limited life span with me now, getting replaced in March... it knows!

Will still get the 'oe quality' one though.

I got mine from AEP direct. Check their prices to but definitely don't go for the cheap option.
Mine was making a very rough noise at idle if it helps.

Mine intermittently sounds at idle, but you give it any throttle and it rattles. The shiny wear marks were a bit of an eye opener.
ECP list the same parts for 306HDi and a random 307 2.0HDi reg I got off ebay, the ones listed above. I'll get the £69 quid one tomorrow morning from ECP. Gotta miss a day of work as I need the car to get there, but got loads of holiday left anyway i guess.

Thinking about it, it was fitted by the guy I bought it from at 69k so I guess it hasn't done too bad.

Well, it took all of 1 minute to take it off. Seems to move about without a huge amount of force. Can't think what else it would be. Off to ecp again.
 Damn cars.

Are they meant to be 162mm diameter? The one I used is 158mm, maybe that explains why the belt flaps a bit at idle

Should be fine if you've adjusted the tensioners properly. If it's still flapping after that then it's most likely a problem with something else, that or as i found out just a horribly cheap pulley.
