Hello chaps...

Had a 306 1.4 shitbox for the past 12-18months and have been using this forum 'secretly'. Picked up a 306 HDi yesterday though, and thought I may as well join. There's a couple of things I might help with on it.

90k, bit of history and less than a grand. Seems to go well, temperature stays just under 80, no smoke or clonks. Rear beam dead though.....

Can someone tell what colour it is? Diablo red?

yes that's diablo red; rear beam is an easy enough job to do if you're competent

plenty of guys on here sell suitable second hand beams and its not a difficult job...just big in terms of part size!

Rebuilt a fair few on 205s/309s so 'should' know what I'm doing. Suspect the bearings are totally shot on this one though, and probably the tube too.

I'm keeping it for now as a back-up car. In all honesty, it's a pretty good car, just a tad slow.
