I watched this too! I said to my housemate, and she just went, that's because it's a chav car.
Don't worry she's now outside where she belongs. 
Why do we have to put up with chavs and muppets owning these cars!? It wasn't like this when I bought mine, 306s were barely recognised among the students at the college I attended. It was all Corsas, Fiestas, 106s, Ka's and maybe the odd Golf or Polo. But now it seems that the chav generation has well and truly "woken up" to 306s as an option which is despicable, if it wasn't my first car I would have traded it in for a 405 with a DT engine.
Oh and Police Interceptors? That is soooo 2008 :p

TBF I don't like this new series of Police Interceptors, It was only ever good for the Scoobies and Evos, now they have shit cars I just don't care. Also the fact that there's a fleet of shit Skoda "ANPR interceptors" driving round London just makes the name sound stupid.

Motorway Cops on BBC1 is better, mainly because the new series is in West Yorkshire so I can spot the landmarks
 Also Police Imterceptors uses the same dubbed on engine noise on every car which annoys me.

to be fair, a gti6 could likely give a t5 a run.

Actually you say that but I've just googled it and the V70 T5 performance if 0-60 in 6.9 or 7.2 for the auto and onwards to 146mph which is pretty much the same as a GTi6 especially when you consider a 6 might be modded and a police car is full of crap to weigh it down.

The roads up where he was pulled are much better suited to the 6 aswell, the Volvo will feel it's size on the lanes.

A gti wont have a hope in hells chance against a t5. I would of thought you would realise by now book figures dont really mean much in reality.

Well there's only one way to find out which is faster and I don't have access to either a T5 or a 6 so I'm not doing it.

After my parents owning an 850 T5, a V70 T5 and a V70R in succession - I can quite safely say a GTi6 would get off the line for about 3 meters, then any T5 will simply roll past with both tyres screaming for mercy...
And that's OEM... Whether or not Police T5s are modified, nobody knows, I somehow doubt they are modified mind... |
