Have you played 4 on pc? It's not very well done, it should run a lot better than it does.

It ought to, I've heard the map on gta5 is going to be as big as all the other maps combined.

I've always been impressed with the size of the maps on any gta game tbh, but going off the gameplay video it looks to be pretty big, having a multitude of different terrains is always good in my eyes, keeps it realistic to an extent.

I'm just looking forward to modifying some cars haha

I'm finding it doesn't play as well as it could though. For example, it doesn't work anywhere near aswell as other games I have that are all newer and on higher settings. It's just been poorly optimised.

There were massive issues with it for a long time though. I haven't actually played it yet, bought it ages ago though! Curse you, Steam.

What settings do you have it on? I've got everything cranked up to max and the lowest FPS i've seen is 50

I had everything at max @1080p. It benchmarked fine, albeit at 42fps but if you try to play at the same setting you see 20-25fps. Addmitedly, my cpu is my bottleneck currently but other stuff, e.g. Just Cause 2, runs a lot faster.

I had everything at max @1080p. It benchmarked fine, albeit at 42fps but if you try to play at the same setting you see 20-25fps. Addmitedly, my cpu is my bottleneck currently but other stuff, e.g. Just Cause 2, runs a lot faster.

Weird.. I'm also at 1080p, i get no lag issues whatsoever though! runs silky smooth even though it's taking up 1.7GB of video memory on max settings haha

Strange, I could only get mine to do 700mb-ish of 2gb at full. Have you got any mods, like Iceenhancer running?

Nope, I loved Vice City and it still stands as my favourite! Haven't played it for years but I guarantee I still know where EVERYTHING is

Weird! Nope no mods, only with stuff like different vehicles anyway (swapped out the blista compact for the ph3 306 maxi xD)

This game BETTER be good. GTA IV had all the anticipation and that lot and look at the hunk of crap that turned out to be. Rockstar clawed it back with Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3 though...
