Rotary machine polisher.

Been thinking about buying one of these for a long time. But never had a excuse.
Now my dad wants me to polish his white t4 van so finally I think its tine to buy one.
Firstly can people recommend me one to buy. Looking at about £100, I know theres dodo juice but surely theres cheaper makes that do the same job.

Also what polish/ compound would be best to use? What pads are best to use?

I wont be using this straight on my car I have a few panels to practise with first.

Can pick up sealey ones for under 100 quid. Good quality. I personally use menza pads. They aren't the cheapest but seem to last a long time and good quality. With regards to products, entirely depends on the work that is needed.

Invest in a da much safer if you've never used a rotary. Rotary achieve a quicker finish but there's a higher risk of damage buffer burn holograming etc etc you'd have to be an absolute idiot to burn through but holograming is easily done. Trick is to keep the pad lubed and cool. I did write up a Menzerna polish and pad guides on the rival forum can't remember if I transferred it to hear though

to be fair rotary is the best way to polish fact! all you have to do is make sure you use the right mop heads for the right compounds. most when bought do have a little booklet saying which is for rubbing compounds, buffing compounds machine glaze ect. any buffer should be fine if you get heads right probs get a good one for 50/60 quid

hahah glaze is more for after youve just had parts painted tbh but even you cant fault it!

I wouldn't be touching a car with it till I'm confident enough with the body panels on garden.

I can get this polisher from a local diy/garden shop for about £30. Didnt think it would be any good but may have to buy it now. Thanks cully
