Hello how do you adjust the handbrake height on a 306 hdi?

I think there a bolt near the handbrake height. But is there anything else needed to do other then just adjust it?

thanks

you've got to take the handbrake surround off, two screws underneath the rear ashtray, then there's a 13mm bolt underneath the carpet which adjusts the cables. wind it on a bit, test the movement on the lever, and adjust as necessary. id suggest taking it up the road to test it before putting the trim back on, PITA of you dont get it right first time.
hope this helps

yeah check the pads [shoes if you have drums, tho iirc HDi's have discs, might be wrong tho] for wear/contamination. new ones aren't expensive. also check for wetness, might be leaking fluid and pissing it on the friction surface, rendering them pretty much useless.

Discs on a HDi mate......discs should be self adjusting though.
