Bosch pump semi ecu

has anyone any pics of one?? Ive 2 bosch pumps in the shed ones a normal looking one and the other has a cap on the top of the pump and wires

if it is a semi ecu pump,can it be used with an xud

It can be used and it will work but it wont work well.
The advance system wont work properly as there is nothing to control it. (ECU does it on a 406/ xantia etc).
On a normal bosch pump the diesel pressure operates the advance system.

They normally run with an ecu but can run without n ecu. Problem there is it will be advanced as the ecu controls the advance/retarding (yet to figure this out)

the non ecu bosch pump,which was good until i drop something into it, can the advance system be taken off it and put onto ecu pump?

I think the channels that direct diesel pressure towards the advance system are different on both types of pump so i reckon it would be a gamble as to whether it would work as it should.
