Paypal gift gone walkies?

Is it just me or have paypal cottoned onto the gift thing? I notice my app on my phone seems to have updated too.

Seems to want to charge me to send money no matter what i select.

You should be able to do it as a personal payment owed in order to avoid paying fees.

It's been like that for ages over a certain amount. Now all the gift thing does is reverse the charges so you pay them on top of the gift instead of the receiver paying them.

its been like that for a while, carnt blame them really cos i bet they lost out in millions of pounds of fees from people taking advantage of it. If you can do it the personal payment owed with out paying fees thats good but bet it wont be long till they do the same and charge fees agin.

I seem to remember it saying you can not pay fees if your sending the gift out of PayPal balance, not from a bank account

CK2, send as a payment to family and use your bank account not cards or you will be charged - worked this one out at cullys yesterday
