I don't know if it's just me or just a weird fluke or what but I've owned 306s for about 90% of my driving career and never had points or a fine while driving one, heck I don't think I've even got a parking or bus lane ticket in a 306 but yet anything else I seem to get tickets all the f*cking time.
My matiz I got a f*ck load of parking fines and a bus lane, The red beemer I got 3 points for speeding and the green one I got a bus lane ticket and its not even a non Peugeot thing cos I think I got caught by a speed camera van on Friday in the coupe which makes me really angry cos he was hiding round a corner, all I can hope is that I got on the brakes fast enough not to end up in court.

Anyway does anyone else experience this weird phenomenon where they only get tickets when they're not driving a 306?

I only got done speeding in the Audi (no it wasn't on the motorway flashing my high beams), other than that nothing. But I don't tend to do so much to get myself in trouble as yourself
Funnily enough, mine was a man in a van hiding around a corner too...

But no, I don't think there's some kind of 306-immunity...

Been pulled twice in the 306 - one for exhaust, once because my tax disc had flown out the window the day before... Only my luck
Touch wood, no speeding fines or anything like that.

I do drive enthusiastically, but I don't think I ever do silly speeds, especially on roads where you're likely to get caught i.e. A Roads, Motorways, I'm more than happy to sit at 65-75mph... I don't feel the need to sit at 120mph in the outside lane flashing every person who gets in my way which it seems 90% of the drivers on the A417 require to...

i get pulled over in the 306 alot, but never got into actual trouble, just "get it sorted because my colleges aren't so lenient"
touch wood ive yet to get a speeding ticket or any points off my licence, just loads of parking fines
oh and the only thing herefordshire council ever did right, all the speed cameras were taken out about 2 years ago but i think they know that its impossible to speed because of all the pot holes they refuse to repair, on purpose it would seem

Been pulled a few times, back light issue causing my hazards ti flash instead of indicating then got asked if it was a blue escort... Hmm
Asked to slow down abit on way home from work

Drink driving as they saw me coming out of the pub after work

Told i was speeding when i was actually doing 30 and i may aswell have opened to boot for the copper so she could get closer

Stopped on m5 because i had my fogs on.... Seen as i had to go over a few rivers it was damn foggy

Turning left at a mini round about because the copper wasn't particularly anywhere near it

Touch wood I've never had anything - I've been flashed on Brighton seafront but never received a letter through. Like Ruan though I do choose my time and place for any enthusiastic driving, but down here there's not much police presence outside town so the country roads are free.

No speeding fines in either of the 306s. Got a speeding fine in the Saab for racing a porche and got several parking and bus lane fines in the skoda including a comical one from McDonald's for £250 which my fleet manager laughed at and binned immediately.

Do you mean in Chi?
I got a parking fine there last year.. can't remember what the film was but we'd booked and were running late - so I parked in front of that bit where motorbikes can park, next to the Chinese?

Nope, Crawley. The carpark next door, think it's B&Q. All I remember was it didn't have gates or bollards so I could definitely get the car out...
Chi Gate was rammed the other day, parked on the pavement by McDonald's where I usually do

First one saved me a fine.
Was parked on double yellow lines and copper was going to give me a fine. Then was determined I wasn't insured as I wasn't coming up on the system. Told him my company and he claimed they said I wasn't insured to which i knew full well I was. So I got my phone out he was saying I'm not allowed my phone but I carried on I went onto admiral downloaded my documents there he said they could be fake. So which I went onto askmid and showed him my car was coming up as insured. He was still determined I wasn't insured he was going to give me a producer for my documents but he couldn't find the paperwork. He then asked me to willingly drop my insurance into the copshop... Pah yeah right! Prick .

My old hdi I got pulled because my sister and my cousin wasn't wearing seatbelts in the back. He told me its my fault which is fair enough I should of checked. But he saw that I had my niece fastened up in the front with proper chair and I also had my belt on so he gave them a right bollocking and told me he was impressed with my car and that I had my seat belt on and my nieces. .

Got pulled In a Astra just as I pulled of without my seatbelt on as I was putting it on they pulled me I got fined.

But in my old mondeo I got pulled over doing 60mph through my town. He also said he caught me doing 115mph further back. To which point I pooped my self knew I lost my license I had fun in the 2 months of owning one. But he let me of!!!! Said don't let me catch you do it again. :/

Never been pulled in a 306, despite like DumDum having owned lots of them!
Got the mx5, was pulled 3 times and got caught speeding (which is ironic because it wasn't even a fast car)!

Had a bum twinge on the A10 in the middle of the day going somewhere north of 120 in the Celica just cruising along, unmarked car caught up with me and gave me a light display. Fortunately they disappeared off into the distance as they must've had more important business! Scary though, that's license-losing territory!

Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

Another believer in 306 immunity here.
In the GTi:

Stopped for the straight through decatted Magnex by VOSA. Played the "was like that when I got it and not been able to afford a new exhaust" card. Got told I had a week to fix it, sold Magnex, bought standard exhaust, made £30 profit.

Stopped the day after I painted it by two officers in a van in Glasgow. They tried for half an hour to find out if any offences had been committed, they hadn't as the copshop radio'd back to say if I sent the V5 away to be amended there's nothing i've done wrong, just that the ANPR hadn't been updated yet. They looked devastated and tried to warn me "if we see you here again after a week without the correct paperwork we'll be having a more serious chat". Er, DVLA says 4-6 weeks to receive the V5 back, I think they tried to tell me I wasn't allowed to drive the car for that long?

Had a passing window down comment of "in a rush, are we?" from a Panda car, went no further.

Hit 130mph on an empty private race track at night and just about managed to slow down enough before it joined a public road where the Traffics were joining from a slip road

Spent a good year or so doing 40mph in what I thought was a 40mph limit past a speed camera almost every day before I discovered it was actually a 30mph limit and the camera had been decommissioned
Other cars?

106 - stopped doing about 100mph by a 530 traffic car on the M6, they did a few checks as i'd reported my plates stolen a month earlier, was told to "take it easy"

Stopped doing 40mph in a 30mph zone in Edinburgh, ironically me and a pal were bored so decided to be chavs for a laugh and donned our finest leisurewear and peaked caps, only to be stopped and told we were being let off because we "seemed more educated than the typical boy racer", so i think they believed we don't normally dress like that
Stopped at 3am in Blackpool doing the customary 17 year old laps of the town centre for driving down a bus lane. Told them I didn't see the sign, they pointed out it was about 10ft tall on both sides of the road as you enter it. Got let off as my sister was on the Police radios that night and vouched for me, got a bollocking off the parents for being a dick though..

205 never got stopped, although the tax expired as it failed its MOT badly (rear beam, typical), I hid it in a private car park where i wasnt a resident, it got lifted and I couldn't afford the release fee so told them to scrap it and removed my valuables from it

Here's the best bit.

The estate? Never been stopped. Ever.

Never had anything in the 306 not even been flashed.
On my first day of driving however...
I was driving the Punto through Blackpool at about 7. Look in the mirror to see a traffic officer flashing so i pull over and he trys to tell me i dont have any tax. A riot van turns up and about 4 of them get out just to look at my tax disc and say "Sorry sarge but its taxed better look next time".

Turns out because I had the car sorn and then taxed it on a Friday at the post office none of the records had updated.
Can say was bum twinge worthy though haha

I got caught in my 306 once, pulled on the M3 at 87mph.
More recently in the 205, there's this camera in my town which has been deactivated for a few years, I've been speeding past it for ages, but a week or so ago it flashed in my face (truvelo) at around 60 in a 30. shit.
