Best way to get veg in my tank one man method??
#1
Well as above im getting veg in 20 liters, i carnt hold the funnel and hold 20 liters of veg in one go i have to keep getting people to help also seems to take ages to pour the veg in though the funnel got to be a quicker way? .

So whats the best way to get it in my tank need something that will hold its self while im pouring and be big enough bore to flow quick but at same time enough space round the filler neck to let air out as im putting it in.

No daft answers please all though im sure i will get some one say just pour it in lol

Help welcome Smile

Robingsons pop bottle ones with the big neck, screw into the fuel neck cut bottom of bottle off

Punch 3 holes in the tin opposite side of the lid and pour Smile

Empty the drum in less than 30 seconds Wink

I tried this the first time but the bottle wouldnt hold its self there had to get some one to hold it in place for me, would work good if i could get it to hold its self in place.

dont have any issues getting it out of the bottle just getting it in the tank, will give the robbisons bottle ago see if it will hold its self in place while i pour it in

Its more messing around tho pouring the veg out of its container and in to the jerry can serpose it will work but just messing around

You need to cut the end of the funnel off bud. Trust meSmile For some reason the end is really narrow, I cut the end off and it flows quicker than I can pour the veg in now!

i got one of them black ones were its flexi on the end its quite a big bore on it and i chopped the point bit of the end so it flows better but was still slow, quickest way was the milk bottle way just finding a way to get it to hold its self in place while im pouring it in

Get a funnel, go to scrappy and pull off string bit from parcel shelf, attach string bit to boot lid when open, attach other end to funnel, pour away Big Grin

Get a funnel (the big orange ones are best) stick it in the tank then get your veg drum, cut an air hole in the back of the handle. Stand close to the car and rest the funnel on your stomach so it dosent fall over, lift the barrel, tuck it under your arm and start pouring, use the neck of the barrel to steady the funnel

Decant half the 20L into an one of the 20L containers you've previously used.
It's easy to hold a funnel and pour in 10L, then just switch containers and pour in the other half.

also with the funnel there might be a gauze filter in the bottom, just oik it out with a screwdriver and the veg will flow much better.

Best idea so far

Except the old tank seal is renowned for being a pig to get to seal properly, so constant moving of the tank access is only going to make it worse.
