1st day popped up to Daytona, all the sprint cup teams setting up and testing this afternoon, took a passenger ride in one of the petty cars though. It was really surprising just how steep the banking is and how much that banking pushes you and the car down in the Tarmac, we did a good few laps using the high and low line and the drivers foot did not lift once!

Incredible feeling, off to volusia for world of outlaws, sprintcars tonight!

Weather was nicer last year

What's everyone up to today then, weather any good? Cleared up over here at lunchtime in the end yesterday which made for excellent track conditions at volusia to see the world of outlaws sprintcars.

Everyone said to me that you will never be able to imagine the speed and they were right, they are simply jaw dropping, circa 800kilos max, 800hp ruining on methanol, the tyres are so soft they are like R/C car ones and big wings you can see the vapour trails come off. Sub 13 second lap on a 1/2 mile dirt oval averaging well over 140 mph!

Little update watched the shoot out at Daytona Saturday night, back at volusia for sprintcars Sunday and then chilled out Monday, rediculously cheap shopping at the outlets over here it's amazing.
Even race car parts, new pads for my new calipers are between £100-150 at home, $81 over here! Other race parts and tools are too!

Been to a gun shop today though, you can choose any gun you want, walk into the range choose one, choose a target find your lane and go wild!


Also found a restaurant called texas de brazil where you have a card, red on one side green on the other, when you turn it to green the servers keep bringing out more and more different types of meat and steaks and then turn it over to red when you want to rest a bit, then straight back to green, not only quantity but the best tasting most quality meats I think I've ever had!

Literally just watched the reply on ESPN. Pity that female driver messed up te finish would have been a good 3rd place for her.
