Yes another one!
Getting a bit bored of the 306 so thinking of getting rid. Ive been offered £1700 by a dealers as a part ex which i think was quite a good price tbh!
1999 gti6 on 75k with full service history upto 71. Tons of receipts going back to the original sales invoice when it was on 6 miles! Body work is good with a small dent in a rear quarter the size of a 5p and a few stone chips in the bonnet.
What do we reckon guys?

Shame to hear that mate. That's really not a bad price from the dealer. You might get around £1,800-£2,000 otherwise as it is a tidy car. I'm guessing you'd be putting most things back to standard before selling?

£1700 p/x is a f*cking amazing price, you will almost definitely not get that in a private sale.
Take off some shiny bits and sell them on for extra dollah

Problem is i havent really got replacements. Would need to buy a new drivers seat, new carpet, new headlights, new cat. Not really worth the hassle

1700 part ex? What the f*ck are you pxing it for, a veyron!?  . No way you'd get that private, even dealers don't sell them for that much round here.

In all fairness, the part ex was good because the guy at the dealership liked it and wanted it for him self i think

I don't doubt that at all, but its still a 12 year old thirsty petrol, high on insurance, fuel and tax. Not easy for a trader to shift! 1700 is WELL above the glasses guide price for it so personally I reckon you should go for it!

new headlights? You have to save the blue ones! How could you possibly leave them on when they are so rare and valuable?  Ill swap you a standard set of crystals for them
