Yeah it would have been a deciding factor

Turbos can see up to 120k on compressor maps though. Maybe not advisable but they do do those kinda speeds

Garrett say their turbos usually spin 100,000 - 140,000 rpm, sure i read it somewhere or I'm imagining it

As im sure your aware, a conventional turbo charger can spin upwards of 70,000rpm when on boost. Can you confirm that this motor is capable of meeting such high demands or is it quite a low powered motor?

Hi..i havent tried it..but for electric motor to reach such a high revs os practicaly impossible..i wouls say aboutn10000 rev mos..but u can always upgrade motor..

Dont know if they gave up on the idea but i know BMW were experimenting with a tri turbo engine for the new m3 one of which was electric. Problem is, the motor needs to be so powerful, its drawing about 80amps so needs a major major alternator on it! Or possibly a second alternator just to drive the turbo.

they tested one of those inline fans in a MR2 once...map before and after...it dipped by nearly 10bhp!!
