i`ve bought planet and lead. but it doesn`t want to connect to validate. im after someone in the stockport area whom i could come and see with my laptop and use their lead and computer to narrow down what could be wrong - if its a lead or the unit etc

Validate what? your not trying to connect to the pug servers are you?

you have got the cable plugged into the laptop and the cable drivers installed properly?

Drivers arnt installed properly. Plug the cable in, go to device manager and uninstall the drivers for it. Search for new devices and when it prompts you, install the drivers from the disc. Make sure that when your using PP2000, you have the usb plugged into the same port as the one you installed it on.

Sounds to me like it's running like shit, or possibly not at all. :p

Have you tried his suggestion? yeap. uninstalled, reinstalled, tried lexia, all done before i started the thread. just wondered if anyone had come across it before to give a solution or idea. thanks anyway, will keep trying and if i sort it  , will let you know

maybe a curopt version of pp2000 the version that came with mine was corupt had to source a new version and reinstall it
