Only problem is when it gets cold but just thin it down with petrol or similar
No set percentage just dive in at whatever you want
Keep a spare fuel filter in the boot in case and I'd change it 2x as often at least

any amount is saving money, even a gallon a tank.
doesn't really seem to matter though, until it gets cold!

2 stroke is meant to help thin it out a bit when things get lumpy

If you can find some sunflower oil at a good price put that in instead over the winter as it needs to get a lot colder than veg before it starts going lumpy.

As already said change the fuel filter after 100 mioes as the veg is quite corosive and will clear all the shit out of the tank/lines and clog the filter very quickly. Then change it at half the usual recommended intervals.
As for the mix, I just run it straight in the summer and a 50/50 mix in the winter.
