Haha, yeah, Chris I can assure you the bearing isn't in wrong, think things would have been somewhat worse if that was the case

I don't see how you could really fit it all wrong? It went together so well haha. Unless I've put extra bits on the top mounts that isn't needed?

Mine are wound all of the way down with helpers. Think I will keep my helpers in and buy some shorter stiffer springs. Dont want them to unseat when jacked up or going over a bump. I will email jamma and report back when he has the length of the original spring!

Rippthrough Wrote:It'll be on the TUV documents.Believe it or not they did come with TUV documents! the only issue with these is that there appears to be 8 pages of A4 information scaned in and reduced to fit on a single sheet of A4 Oh and theyer all in german. Just trying to work it out now. Matt Wrote:Let's get a welder out then move my top mounts lowerIdiot, you mean higher. Dan! / Curt The reason yours go -90mm and still have thread left is that 306 dampers have the issue of drop link mounts meaning that the threadded body can only be so long. Matt / Curt the top mount bearing would go in either way upbut only one way is right and itn not the way it comes out the bag from peugeot

I was only reitterating that fact.

Right ive had a good look over the TUV certificate and there is no mention of spring weight apart from i keep seeing 1000kg max so is there anyone whos fluent in german who can come and have a look at it for me. I have however worked out the spring lengths and stuff Helper spring (Evo 100) Wire Guage 5.3 x 9.9mm Turns 5.5 OD 82.2mm Spring Length 109mm (4.29") Main spring (Evo 1010) Wire Guage 10.3mm Turns 8 OD 82.2mm Spring Length 171mm (6.73") Just a thought if the numbers on the springs are in kgs but should have a decimal place Evo 100 = 10.0kg = 22lb Evo 1010 = 101.0kg = 223lb Not a clue if thats what they mean but potentially not a bad guess?

Are coilovers springs definitely 2.25" in diameter? ![]()

Nah Jim i think theyer 60 or 70mm

		04-02-2012, 03:11 PM

Ok 82.2mm OD - 10.3mm -10.3mm = 61.6mm ID so id say youd probably be ok with 60mm or 2.5" but probably not 2.25"
